The Latinx Veterinary Medical Association is collaborating with Hill’s Pet Nutrition to offer three Diamante Scholar scholarships of $3,000 (USD) per scholarship to current veterinary students for the upcoming Fall 2022 semester. The deadline for submission of applications is 11:59 PM EST Saturday, July 30th, 2022. Scholarship winners will be announced in September and October during Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month via email and Latinx VMA social media. Winning essays will be posted on the LVMA website.

Latinx VMA Diamante Scholar Student Scholarship Requirements:
- Must identify as Latinx; someone with a Latin American/Hispanic background (including Brazil) living in the United States, Canada, or the Caribbean.
- Veterinary student currently enrolled and in good standing at a school of veterinary medicine in the United States or Canada. Students enrolled at Ross, St. George’s, and St. Matthew’s universities are also welcome to apply!
- Must be in good academic standing (minimum 2.0 GPA) as evidenced by a copy of unofficial transcript (screenshot) OR complete and submit the Good Standing Form found below.
- Evidence of Good Standing Form must be signed by an Associate Dean for Academic or Student Affairs.
- Submit a personal statement of 350-500 words maximum explaining, in your opinion, what could be the role and impact of the LatinX Veterinary Medical Association on the community and the future of the Veterinary Profession?
