Latinx VMA Diamante Scholar Student Scholarship Requirements:
– Must be in a third- or fourth-year DVM (or equivalent) program.
– Must be an active member of a Latinx Veterinary Medical Association Student Chapter or a national student member and currently enrolled in a DVM (or equivalent) program in the United States, Canada, or the Caribbean (including Ross University, St. George’s University, and St. Matthew’s University). National student members can register and pay annual dues at https://latinxvma.org/.
– Must be in good academic standing. An official transcript showing a GPA above 2.0 will be requested from the winners.
– Submit a personal statement of 350-500 words maximum describing your current and/or previous contributions to diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging and justice in academia, the workplace, or your community during your time as a student in the DVM (or equivalent) program. (Remember to NOT mention your institution nor any information that may identify where you study such as the name of the state).
Note: When evaluating applications, we will carefully consider several key factors, including the statement of purpose, the clarity and focus of your writing, the organization and overall quality of the essay, the potential impact on the Latinx VMA community, and your personal accomplishments or goals. These criteria will guide our review process, so please ensure that your submission reflects these aspects clearly and thoughtfully.

Latinx VMA Oro Scholar Student Scholarship Requirements:
– Must be an active member of a Latinx Veterinary Medical Association Student Chapter or a national student member and currently enrolled in a DVM (or equivalent) program in the United States, Canada, or the Caribbean (including Ross University, St. George’s University, and St. Matthew’s University). National student members can register and pay annual dues at https://latinxvma.org/.
– Must be in good academic standing. An official transcript showing a GPA above 2.0 will be requested from the winners.
– Submit a personal statement of 350-400 words maximum describing your perspective on the challenges the poor communities have to access veterinary services how you plan to improve these issues once you become a licensed professional. (Remember to NOT mention your institution nor any information that may identify where you study such as the name of the state.)

– Must be in a first- or second-year DVM (or equivalent) program.
– Must be an active member of a Latinx Veterinary Medical Association Student Chapter or a national student member and currently enrolled in a DVM (or equivalent) program in the United States, Canada, or the Caribbean (including Ross University, St. George’s University, and St. Matthew’s University). National student members can register and pay annual dues at https://latinxvma.org/.
