Latinx VMA Diamante Scholar Student Scholarship Requirements:
- Must identify as Latinx, have a Latin American/Hispanic background (including Brazil), and be currently studying in a DVM (or equivalent) program in the United States, Canada, or the Caribbean (including Ross University, St. George’s University, and St. Matthew’s University).
- Must be in good academic standing. An official transcript showing a GPA above 2.0 will be requested from the winners.
- Must be a student member of the national Latinx VMA. You can register and pay annual dues at https://latinxvma.org/.
- Submit a personal statement of 350-500 words maximum describing your current and/or previous contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in academia, the workplace, or your community and how you plan to include these efforts as a licensed professional. (Remember to NOT mention your institution nor any information that may identify where you study such as the name of the state).
